The Hunting Grounds is a premier private hunting retreat in Southern Missouri featuring a custom-built lodge with high-end furnishings, multiple water features across the well-kept land, unique topography with miles of trails, a nice shop, and amazing wildlife in the preserve. When you come out of West Plains, you will follow scenic roads to the astounding gated entrance, where you are greeted by the outdoorsman paradise known as The Hunting Grounds. Follow the drive past a private lake and along the ever-running South Bridges Creek, where remarkable elk and trophy whitetails gather for a drink. Tucked back into the heart of the property is a custom-built 7-bedroom lodge with a 1600 sq. ft. great room boasting 26 feet tall, vaulted ceilings, and a large stone fireplace. The lodge is spacious, comfortable, and ready to be filled with the next hunters' stories. Walk out onto the large, elevated west-facing porch where you can enjoy the large Missouri sunsets and gather with your company to shoot clay pigeons from the three rotating automatic throwers below the porch. The night has ended, the sun is up, and the woods are calling. Enjoy a high-caliber hunting preserve ready to be enjoyed with an estimated population of 30 elk and 200 whitetails with 300-inch genetics spread out across the property's topography for all adventures. There are eight elevated Redneck blinds on the land strategically placed with multiple established foot plots and feeding areas nearby. When you harvest your hunted game, you will be pleased to find a walk-in freezer within the 40x50 insulated shop. Additional features of the 345 acres include 120 acres of open ground equipped for cattle grazing. The land has been well maintained with annual fertilizing and a healthy cattle ratio per acre of pasture. Norfork Lake is within 20 miles of the retreat for boating, fishing, and more!
